ROBERT A. WHITE
GENERAL ADJUSTER

Mr. White is a 1963 graduate of the University of New Orleans, New Orleans, Louisiana, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business. He commenced his claims career in 1964 with the General Adjustment Bureau. He benefited from their fine training program, most notably, completion of the two-year general adjuster study course, which resulted in his appointment as a general adjuster.

In addition to his technical claims experiences, the General Adjustment Bureau also afforded him supervisory opportunities. He served as a branch claims manager, and supervised several catastrophe operations. As a general adjuster with GAB, he had the opportunity to handle more complex commercial property claims.

In 1976, Mr. White accepted a position as Home Office Director of Property Claims with the Houston General Insurance Company in Fort Worth, Texas. In this position, he had total responsibility for property claims, including preparation of budgets for the home office property department. He left Houston General in 1983 and moved to Houston, Texas, where he accepted a position with Paul R. White & Company. His vast experience allowed him to serve as an account adjuster on one of the country's largest builders of residential dwellings. He earned the respect of his colleagues and clients with his ability to handle the most difficult of claim situations.

In 1984, the Kemper Insurance Company employed Mr. White as their property claims supervisor, domiciled in the Houston office. He remained employed by Kemper for the next 15 years prior to accepting early retirement and returning home to Paul R. White & Company.

In over 40 years as a claims professional, Mr. White has had the opportunity to demonstrate his technical competency in many areas, including:

• Boiler and Machinery losses
• Builder's risk and construction claims
• Manufacturing losses, in particular Business Interruption claims
• Aviation claims
• Commercial property claims
• Industrial Equipment losses
• Condominiums and multi-family dwelling losses
• Appraisals

Mr. White is a member of the Houston Claims Association, and remains most active in our industry. He is available to accept assignments as an adjuster, or serve as an appraiser or umpire, regardless of the location of the claim.
